1. Overview

Vector Craft ("the App") is an AI-powered SVG vector art generator operated by Schoedel Design. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App at art.schoedel.design.

2. Information We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive:

Google Account Profile: Your name, email address, and profile photo — provided by Google's OAuth service.
Generated Content: The text prompts you enter and the SVG artwork the App generates are stored in your personal account.
Avatar Preferences: If you customize your avatar, we store your style and seed selections.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

Gemini API Key: Your API key is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage. It is sent directly from your browser to Google's Gemini API. We never receive, transmit, or store your API key on any server.
Payment Information: We do not collect any payment or billing information.
Tracking / Analytics: We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics services.

4. How We Use Your Information

To authenticate your identity via Google Sign-In
To store and display your generation history
To enforce usage rate limits
To provide admin functionality for authorized users

5. Data Storage

Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, secured by Firebase Authentication. Each user's data is isolated — you can only access your own prompts and generated SVGs. Firestore security rules enforce strict per-user access control.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Your prompts are sent to Google's Gemini API solely for the purpose of generating SVG artwork, subject to Google's Gemini API Terms of Service.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your generated SVGs and account data are retained as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your data, contact us at contact@schoedel.design.

8. Security

We use Firebase Authentication and Firestore security rules to protect your data. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS. Your Gemini API key never leaves your browser.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
